Volkswagen bug sculpture by Tristyn

Hi everyone,

My niece, Tristyn,  finished making her second Volkswagen bug sculpture and getting it painted.  She has a friend, Tim, that loves Volkswagens and so she wanted to make one for him in clay.  He owns a blue bug.  She picked a beautiful deep blue glaze color to match his bug.

Tristyn’s Ceramic Volkswagen Bug

Hi Everyone,

Tristyn, my niece, and I enjoyed making this Volkswagen bug for her dad. I helped her along the way to get the proportions right. The bug was pretty big in the unfired clay but we knew that it would shrink quite a bit once it dried and was fired.

Where My Soul Can Rest Sculpture

Hi friends,

The drawing below I did back in 2008 and it was just waiting to be made into clay. :-)

Hope Rose sculpture

Hi Everyone,

Here’s a rose flower clay sculpture that I made today.  I made it for my therapist’s office (I’ve been having counseling for a phobia).  I’ve offered to do trade with him and he’s considering it.  So if he decides not to, then I can always sell this or give it away as a gift (most often I give them away :-) ).

Lady and Cat sculpture

Hi All,
I took in the jagged area a bit more and signed her on the back. Well, for a 4 hour sculpt, I like her okay. This idea for her came from my sketch book. I like to draw ideas now and again for sculpture.
