Pouring Wax for Bronze Casting
Pouring wax for bronze is a very important part of the process. I’ve had one foundry pour the awful-est (is that a word?) waxes and told me this was due to my highly detailed work. NOT! One reason for bubbles is because of using reclaimed wax (wax that has been used before) rather than virgin wax……..

Western Woman Wax Work- “Blessings Bloom”
This wax is a western woman—my latest sculpture soon to go into bronze. The foundry poured 2 waxes and sent them to me via UPS. In the summer, I’d have to go to the foundry and pick up the wax myself for fear they might melt in a delivery truck. Much work goes into having the waxes finished as seen above.
