Bird in animal trap Hi Everyone, This post isn’t about sculpture but just something I’ll put in my daily event category on my blog. (I did sculpt on my “Resting” sculpture for awhile this afternoon. I put water with ripples surrounding her toes). Today we found that for the first time our animal trap (that we keep by our koi pond primarily for raccoons) had a bird in it.

Sculpting clothing Hi again, A friend of mine asked me why I sculpt the figure nude before I add the clothing. She felt like this was a waste of time since the fabric will cover the anatomy anyway.

Resting sculpture Hi Everyone, I worked on my resting woman sculpture today. Below are some progress pics of how she looks now. I’ve added a bow onto her dress. Other than that, I put more of the fabric on (still more to go on that) and finished her hair.

Where My Soul Can Rest Sculpture Hi friends, After doing the Hope rose I thought I should work on this sketch of a young lady. She’s a work in progress of a young lady sitting on an embankment with her feet dangling in the water. I could do a serious sculpture of her one day. The drawing below I did back in 2008 and it was just waiting to be made into clay.

Hope Rose sculpture Hi Everyone, Here’s a rose flower clay sculpture that I made today. I made it for my therapist’s office (I’ve been having counseling for a phobia). I’ve offered to do trade with him and he’s considering it. So if he decides not to, then I can always sell this or give it away as a gift (most often I give them away ).

Indian woman with cat sculpture finished Hi family and friends, Today Ron and I worked in the yard with Brandon (a 19 year old friend) and Travis (my nephew . We got a lot done with their help. It’s great to have such good workers to be able to call on to get things done. With the weather mild, it’s the time to get the yard in shape before the heat sets in. Before dinner I decided to finish up my sculpture in 1 hour but instead it took two (and a few more minutes after dinner).

My Baby Hi Everyone, Tonight I wanted to make something that only took an hour or so. Well, I didn’t get done but maybe in another hour I’ll finish.(Yesterday I did two of the cat’s from my last blog post) It’s nothing much but just something for fun that’s easy and hopefully will look okay when done. It’ll be an Indian woman with braids (since I’m using red clay) and she’s holding her baby, her kitty. I just want it to be rough and unfinished looking. Right now it’s not done at all but with a little bit of work it’ll be done.

Just For Fun Cat Sculpture Hi Friends, Instead of working on something tedious and important to have just right, I wanted to play in the clay. Oftentimes when I do this is when I’m helping on a project for a family member who’s making something. So I end up not playing just for myself. Since I liked the red clay so much, I decided to get it out and make something. At first I was going to make some birds but decided to make cats since I love them so much.
