Hi all,

Here’s an update to my figurative clay sculpture of a woman relaxing with her feet in the water.

Hi friends,

The other day I had a moment to play in clay so I thought I’d experiment.  I made a terracotta flower pot and a terracotta red rose.

Hi Everyone,

Here’s just a note to let you know that I’ve finished some of those simple quickie sculpts, i.e. cats and woman with a cat, rose, etc.  They are on the ceramic portion of my website.

Hi Everyone,

I worked on my resting woman sculpture today. Below are some progress pics of how she looks now. I’ve added a bow onto her dress. Other than that, I put more of the  fabric on (still more to go on that) and finished her hair.

Hi all,

Today was so much fun, to put on the hair and clothes on the lady sitting on the grassy embankment. It all went very smoothly and easily which is nice for a change. :-)

Hi friends,

After doing the Hope rose I thought I should work on this sketch of  a young lady.  She’s a work in progress of a young lady sitting on an embankment with her feet dangling in the water.  I could do a serious sculpture of her one day. The drawing below I did back in 2008 and it was just waiting to be made into clay. :-)

Hi Everyone,

Here’s a rose flower clay sculpture that I made today.  I made it for my therapist’s office (I’ve been having counseling for a phobia).  I’ve offered to do trade with him and he’s considering it.  So if he decides not to, then I can always sell this or give it away as a gift (most often I give them away :-) ).

Hi All,
I took in the jagged area a bit more and signed her on the back. Well, for a 4 hour sculpt, I like her okay. This idea for her came from my sketch book. I like to draw ideas now and again for sculpture.

Hi family and friends,

Today Ron and I worked in the yard with Brandon (a 19 year old friend) and Travis (my nephew :-) . We got a lot done with their help. It’s great to have such good workers to be able to call on to get things done. With the weather mild, it’s the time to get the yard in shape before the heat sets in. :-)

Before dinner I decided to finish up my sculpture in 1 hour but instead it took two (and a few more minutes after dinner).

Hi Everyone,

Tonight I wanted to make something that only took an hour or so. Well, I didn’t get done but maybe in another hour I’ll finish.(Yesterday I did two of the cat’s from my last blog post) It’s nothing much but just something for fun that’s easy and hopefully will look okay when done. :-) It’ll be an Indian woman with braids (since I’m using red clay) and she’s holding her baby, her kitty. :-) I just want it to be rough and unfinished looking. Right now it’s not done at all but with a little bit of work it’ll be done.
