Karaoke party
On Saturday we had a welcome back party for my good friends Pat and Barry who moved back from Hawaii after being away for 18 years.
Here’s a picture of us girls singing together. Pat and my sister and I used to sing ”The Teddy Bear Song” when we were kids.

When I sculpted “Patsy,” which is in the ceramic category page on my website, I named it after Pat. I never realized I was sculpting Pat(her likeness) until I was done sculpting it. The quick clay sketch was done in a single sitting one afternoon. When I showed it to my my mom she immediately said it was Pat and I hadn’t even realized that’s who it was. I hadn’t seen Pat in what felt like was forever but she was in my subconscious and trying to get out in the form of a sculpture. 
We have an awesome karaoke system that doesn’t involve discs at all. You just punch in the number of the songs that you want and the song will play. It’s called a Cavs JB-199 and includes about 20,000 songs. Well, we’re getting our money’s worth because everyone has so much fun. This time we brought our machine to my sister’s house for the party. The margaritas (in moderation) help us to loosen up to sing.
